Together with Raymond Geerts (Hooverphonic) he became a founding member of the Belgian rock band The Ditch. Antony owns Skylight studio, where the band records and writes.
Neon Skies began its life when four friends and musicians began writing and playing together at a "back to the roots" rehearsal room in Belgium. They quickly realised that their different musical backgrounds meshed together well to form their own unique sound.
A mixture of rock, pop with a hint of dance.
After they had a few songs under their belts the search for a singer and frontman was underway. They tried several different singers before John suggested his old friend Richard Knight.
Rich's voice and onstage presence was just what the new band was looking for: the line up was complete. The band with members from both Belgium and the U.K now have their own studio (Skylight studios) and they have been locked away in it writing their debut album. Neon Skies (formally known as Skylight) have received a lot of press and radio attention in Belgium and are now ready to take their sound international.
Recording the album
With the band's album demoes completed they contacted John's good friend Georg Bergheim who loved the bands sound and immediately offered them a management deal with his company Basswood Management Ltd. in April 2014.
Georg then contacted award winning producer Jukka Backlund who after hearing the demos took the captain's chair as the bands producer and together with acclaimed mixing engineer Jesse Vainio the first album has been produced and mixed.
Now with a unique and instantly recognizable sound firmly in place and an undeniable passion for their music the band are ready to be heard...
